Imeldabella for Belindabella

This is a birthday card for my niece Belinda...she loves shoes and she loves red, so I thought a pair of shiny red boots fitting for her card.

I wanted to try out an easel card. Nice to have something different for a change and I know my niece will appreciate the work involved and probably leave it out somewhere. This way it looks more like a little piece of artwork than a card :)

I used SU Very Vanilla CS for the card base and Kaiser papers and ribbon to embellish it. I also hung a little shoe charm from behind the ribbon.

The stamp is Imeldabella from Stampingbella and I coloured her with Copics. I added a bit of dimensional glaze to the boots to make them pop out a bit. I printed the sentiment on the computer and added 5 rhinestones underneath to represent the different colours referred to in the sentiment :)

I think I will definitely be making more of these!

PS I made a boo-boo on this card...can you see it?? I've fixed it now :)

Three Little Cards!

I coloured these little SU stamps last week with my Copics but haven't got around to making the cards up until today. The froggy and friend cards took all of 5 mins to make :) My favourite type of card...quick and easy! The sunflowers were a little longer!

All the cardstock and papers are SU. The stamps are from the SU set A Flower For All Seasons.

Soulmates Journal

This is my entry in the Michelle Perkett challenge #09. I wanted to make something other than a card so decided to make a journal/album. I made the covers from chipboard and painted the back and edges in navy. The inside pages are black cardstock. I used my Bind-it-all to bind it.

The background paper is Kaiser and has butterflies on it. I managed to cover the one that was left after cutting the paper to size :) The paper reminds me of water with light, bubbles and plants floating around in it...and I love these colours.

I chose Michelle's Soulmates image to put on the front and coloured it with Copics. The oval and scrolls were cut with my KNK Maxx from JAC paper and cardstock and glittered. I've used tiny rhinestones on the mermaid and Kindy Glitz on the merman and the bubbles. The instructions for this challenge were to use lots of bling...so I did...waaaay more than I've ever used on anything I've ever made!!!! :)

Mr. Owl

Here is the Christmas card my very talented friend Helen sent me this year. Isn't he just gorgeous! He is punched and hand cut. I have a 'thing' for owls so when Helen saw this little guy she immediately thought of me...aren't I lucky! He is too handsome to put away in a drawer after Christmas is over so he is going to grace my shelf permanently. He's come to a good home :)
PS Helen is the friend who is responsible for getting me into this addictive craft :) I told her that seeing as how she created this little monster, she now has to put up with me bombarding her with photos of what I've just made lol !!!

More Christmas Bags

These are little gift bags that I made from the template on SCS called "2,5,7,10 Box". They are very quick and easy to make. I made them from medium weight white paper and finished them with mounted, coloured stamp images and a metal Christmas angel. They are tied with curling ribbon. They stand about 5" high and are filled with Lindt balls and chocolate Santas. I've also made these in patterned Kaiser papers which are even quicker to make because they don't need any decorating :)

Christmas Cupcakes

It's 10pm Christmas Eve and the grandbabies are all in bed asleep. They were so excited it took a while to get them to settle tonight :) They can't wait to see what Santa has brought them! Hopefully we won't be up at 5am tomorrow...they are normally very good and don't disturb us until about 7am. I have been banned from waking them any earlier...which I've been known to do on a number of Christmas mornings! :) I can't help being excited with them but have been informed by the rest of the family that 5.30 really is too early to get them out of bed :) Their mummy is wrapping the last minute things now that they are safely asleep.
Don't know what our Christmas dinner will be like tomorrow as they have all had gastro and haven't been able to eat much. It may be a quiet affair...maybe the first year I won't eat far too much!!!
This year I decided to do something different than the traditional Christmas cake so made little fruit cakes in muffin cases, iced them with royal icing and decorated them in red & green. Then I stacked them on the cupcake stand my niece gave me for my birthday this year. It looks cute in the middle of our table :) The little cakes are yum...had to try one when I made them to make sure they tasted okay!
Wishing everyone a peaceful and safe Christmas & New Year.

Christmas Bags

Some gift bags made with brown or white paper bags, Kaiser papers & tags and SU cardstock in Baja Breeze and Old Olive. They are quick and easy to make for one-of-a-kind packaging.

Hannah's 8th Birthday Card

This is another CC Designs stamp...Leisel...for one of my granddaughter's birthdays. I masked the wheelbarrow and used the hearts from the SU set Loads of Love to fill it. The sentiment is from the same set. I gave Leisel red hair as Hannah is a redhead...just like her Nanny and her Aunty Toni :)

Heidi tri-shutter Card

I was so happy with this card when I finished it. Not often do I get something to turn out exactly how I envisioned it in the first place! The stamp is a CC Designs stamp called Heidi in the Flowers. She is soooo cute. I have a few of her sisters as well :) The papers and the inside sentiment are all SU.

Wish Fairy

I made this card for a friend's birthday...another Michelle Perkett design...they are so beautiful to colour :)

Christmas Sewing

These are some in-the-hoop stockings that I made for friends for Christmas this year. I've made lots of these over the years and they are very cute. I think my embroidery machine was very happy to see me...it's been a while :)

Rosie for Rona

Another of Michelle's images "Rosie". I made this card for my niece's birthday in January. I thought the message of nurturing our dreams was very appropriate as she has just been through a mastectomy and chemo. Sometimes it's hard to find your dreams again after such a traumatic experience. She still has quite a journey to go with this as there is reconstructive surgery next year to consider. Michelle's images are full of love and peace and that's what I wish for my niece. (goodness, didn't know I was such a poet lol)
The paper and tag are from the new Kaiser 6" paper pad 'Bloom'

Michelle Perkett Sketch Challenge

This is my first ever entry in a challenge...for the Michelle Perkett Sketch Challenge #08. I love Michelle's images and will be collecting them all...eventually :)
I have only recently discovered digi stamps. They are wonderful. You can have them instantly...yay...no waiting for the mail :)
I masked the fairy & baby and punched a 1" circle for the moon mask. I sponged the sky with SU Baja Breeze & Not Quite Navy inks, then coloured the image with my Copic markers.
