Lily Calendar

This is my entry in the Michelle Perkett challenge #12 on PCP. The brief was a sketch this week and I decided to make a calendar for a birthday present.

I used Michelle's image called Lily. Printed her on SU Whisper White and coloured with Copics. The calendar is a Kaiser wood product and came with 2009 calendar notes...I bought it last year and didn't get around to making it up so had to create the calendar notes for 2010 :( That's what happens when you leave things in the drawer to do later!!!! I think it took me longer to do the notes than it did to make the rest of the calendar!

The DP is also Kaiser from the Lilac Avenue range. The background behind Lily is from the 6 x 6 paper pad and the background on the bottom is from the 12 x 12 range as the bottom board is nearly 8" long. It's a bit hard to tell in the photo but the swirls on the top DP are glazed. Some of the papers in the 6" pad are textured and this is one of them.

The circle behind Lily is cut from JAC paper and glittered with AED Ocean Depths. Lily and the circle are mounted on dimensional dots.

It's hard to stay away from this paper...I love green & purple :) I have to make myself look at different colours and use them more! That's why I love the challenges...makes me think outside my box LOL!
