Michelle Perkett Challenge #14

Here is my DT card for the Michelle Perkett Challenge #14. This is my first DT card...ever...for anywhere :) I was soooo excited when Michelle asked me to be on one of her DT teams...and a little daunted! (Actually, that's a bit of an understatement...I was a LOT daunted!!!) At that stage I hadn't even entered a challenge, let alone been on the business end of one!! Our challenge this week is the sketch above.

I used Michelle's Posie for my card. I printed her on Neenah Classic Crest and coloured her with Copics. The base card, DP panel mounts and scallop circle mount are SU Choc Chip. The background mount is from Color Core Vintage 12 x 12 paper pad. I embossed this with a Cuttlebug border folder and lightly sanded the embossing back. I love this paper pad...the colours are gorgeous :) The DP is Kaiser Imagine. I cut the scallop circle and inner circle with my KNK Maxx and mounted them on dimensional dots. I also mounted Posie with dimensional dots. Posie has been highlighted with glitter pens on her hair, wings and flower centres. The white area of her wings has been glittered. I finished the card with flower embellishments, with rhinestone centres and a metal "believe" tag.

This is the first card I've used flowers on! I am really challenged in the embellishment department!! I think I must be a "less is more" person lol! I really struggle when it comes to adding the 'bits' to my cards :)
