Garden Fairies....

It's Friday again...time for another Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz :)  Our theme this week is to use your Favourite Technique on your project.  My favourite technique is Feather Blending / Flicking.  I rarely use the traditional circular blending technique...except for skin...I seem to do better with blending 'strokes' :)  I love the feather blending for combining 2 colours...for example, fairy wings...it gives a lovely, graduated result.

You won't want to miss what's coming up at The Outlawz ... more info coming soon!!!

For this week's project I made my niece a birthday card & bookmark:

The beautiful fairy is the Butterfly Fairy from Sketching Stamper...she's been in my stash for quite some time, waiting patiently to  be used :)  I've made an easel card using gorgeous digital papers, fussy cut the fairy and popped her up on foam dots.  The computer generated caption reads... Garden fairies come at dawn, bless the flowers then they're gone...  The large butterfly is a cutting file, cut with my KNK Maxx.

For the bookmark I used the same fairy image and overlaid her with a butterfly from Tiffany Doodles. The caption here is also computer generated and says... Follow your Dreams   I used digi papers from the same collection for the backing.

Here's a close up of the fairy & butterfly:

Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day :)

Lynne, this is just gorgeous. I haven't been tempted to color this stamp yet (I bought it too) until now. You've done a beautiful job coloring it.

Both your card & bookmark are absolutely STUNNING Lynne! I love your coloured fairy image & the background paper is perfect. Very enchanting! The soft background image behind those striking butterflies looks amazing too. Clever girl! Hugs :)
