Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Hello everyone...happy Friday :) This week our theme is Anything Goes over at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge...a really easy one, so why don't you come over and play along with us :)

I've made a staggered side step card with the gorgeous Sonny Honeycloud from Pollycraft. The DP is all digi from Pink Petticoat and the wording is computer generated. It's getting near the end of winter here, hence the little verse :) And we've had SOOOO much rain this winter!! Lucky we live on a hill and haven't been flooded out...the ground is so water logged. At least everything is nice and green.

Miss Sonny's umbrella has been paper pieced and painted with shimmer mist.

Fairy Drawers

Hello everyone...this is a scheduled post for our Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz this week. I should be sitting on a deck chair somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean right now, soaking up some relaxation time, good food and good company...hubby is with me :) A loooong overdue holiday...it's been 8 years since our last one! We've never done a cruise so I hope we're enjoying it lol

Our challenge theme this week is "Things With Wings". I've been wanting to get these drawers done for my little granddaughters for a while, so I'm getting organised for their birthdays...one in August (this set is for Kate) and one in September (the next set is for Amy). I daren't give one of them something and not replicate it for the other lol They are only 13 months apart and behave a lot like twins!! :)

The gorgeous fairy is a freebie from one of our very talented teamies at The Outlawz, Anne Fenton. You can get her by going to The Outlawz and clicking on the Freebies tab on the toolbar at the top of the main page :) She was beautiful to colour...thank you Anne *waving*  The drawers are from Kaiser. I really enjoy decorating the Kaiser wood forms.

I hope you'll come on over to The Outlawz and join in our challenge this week, we'd love to see what beautiful winged things you create.

Christmas in July

Hello everyone...happy Friday :) Only 1 more sleep and we're off on holiday...YAY....it's been 8 years since we had a holiday and I'm SOOOO needing it!!! Last time we went on holiday we bought a house, went back home and sold up then moved 'overseas' lol  From the mainland to Tasmania...well, okay then...interstate :) We've had strict instructions not to do that this time! So I'll be missing for nearly 2 weeks...no phone, no computer = no commenting, visiting blogs, etc. I'll try to catch up on things when I get back home. Be good while I'm away...and don't do anything I wouldn't do LOL

What would July be without a Christmas challenge lol  We haven't disappointed you...we have a theme of Christmas in July at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge this week. An easy challenge so come on over and join in the fun :)

I've made a hanger...yes, another hanger lol...there's still lots more to come yet :)

The gorgeous Santa is from Hero Arts. He was a joy to colour :) To give him a little texture I used puff paint on his beard and fun flock on his trims. The Chrissy tree had little buttons drawn on it but I opted for rhinestones to bling it up a bit. I'll definitely be using this Santa again.

Baby Blues

This week our challenge at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker group is Monochromatic...with a twist of...BLUE tones. I had to put my thinking cap on for this one...this is what I came up with:

A cute baby card :)  I have no idea who will get it...no babies on the horizon that I know of. The little giraffe is a HOTP stamp that's been hiding in my drawer for a while and hadn't been christened. I stamped him with Versamark & SU Night of Navy then clear embossed him so I could colour.

Lil Star

YAY...I've managed to get my Pollycraft entry in with lots of time to spare this week :)  I did make a card for last week's challenge but didn't get it uploaded in time...oh well :(

The challenge this week is Celebrations, with stars & stripes as an optional extra.  Pollycraft is celebrating their 100th challenge...a fantastic effort...and I hope there'll be many more hundreds to come :) So...CONGRATULATIONS to Paula and the design team, and thank you for all the wonderful inspiration you have for us each week.

Onto my card...

I've used Lil Star from Pollycraft...one of the new releases this week. I love this cute little guy so had to buy him as soon as I saw him...and 2 of his brothers so he wouldn't be lonely lol  I separated off the star so I could make it and the string 3D. All the DP is digi from Peppermint Creative...I thought it was perfect for this theme and I love the colours.

Who stole my hubby???!!!

...and put him on this card LOL  This looks just like my hubby and our Beagle boy, Barney. The only difference is that Barney is usually on hubby's lap, not the floor...but he does love to lie upside down like this :)

Anyhow...onto the reason for this post :)  It's time for another challenge at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker group. The challenge this week is to show us your 'Male' themed projects. I don't find male projects as easy as girly ones...not quite right to put bling & pretty things on for the boys :)

Here's my card:

I've had this image from S2G for a long time, wanting to use it on something for my hubby, but hadn't gotten around to it. Our challenge this week gave me the perfect opportunity to make a Father's Day card for my DD and grandbabies to give to hubby. Father's Day here in Australia is the first Sunday in September...I'm being SOOOO organised lately lol...wonder how long it's going to last??!!

I wanted it to look as similar to our lounge as possible so removed the check pattern from the recliner and coloured it as close as possible to the colour of our recliners...ours are a bit more on the green side but I couldn't quite match it with the Copics. Then I made a skirting board and floorboards and coloured the wall as close to our wall colour as I could manage. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result!!

My lovely, but very cheeky friend, Helen said it looked like hubby is lying on the chair starkers as you can't see any clothes...bwaahaahaahaa...she then suggested that maybe it's summer and he has stubbies (shorts) and a t-shirt on...cracked me up no-end :)

Oh dear...I forgot to write down the missing Ciao numbers...sorry!
