Pollycraft Bookmark

Woo hoo...I'm playing in the Pollycraft challenge and it's not at the last minute lol The theme this week is Tags & Bookmarks...one of my most favourite things to make are bookmarks, so I just had to fit this one in :)

I've used one of the gorgeous Pollycraft cuties from the Swings & Slides set. I love all the images in the sets Paula has released, it's such a hard decision which one to colour when I go to them.

The shaped bookmark and tail tag have been cut with my KNK Maxx from a Penny Duncan Shaplies file. DP backing is SU and the little verse has been computer generated.

Here's a close up:

No Copic colours for this one....sorry!

Thanks for looking........have a wonderful day :)

Bugaboo - Out of my Mind

Hello everyone.....this week our theme for the Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz is our regular, monthly ANYTHING GOES. Hope you'll come and play along with us this week.

I've made another hanger. This one uses one of the hilarious Stella images from Bugaboo...LOVE these...they are so funny...and true lol

This is how I feel most days LOL. This is another hanger that hubby made for me and I decorated...I have a little stack of these to use, so you'll be seeing lots more yet!! I've printed the wording, which comes with Stella, onto the DP before adhering to the hanger. Stella has been cut out and popped up on dots. The phone 'line' is lightweight craft wire. And again, I've used my Prismas for her hair...my bad...don't tell my Copic teamies or they might sack me  :)

No Copic colours this week...sorry :(  Must have missed doing that!

Stay tuned for all the excitement next week at The Outlawz....we're having a HUGE party with lots of wonderful prizes to be won....including 2 x $100 GC!!!!!  Yes, I said TWO!! Come on over and join us in all the fun for our 1000 member party...see you there.

Mini Tissue Cover

I've been playing in my little craft haven for the last 2 days....can't remember the last time I was able to play for more than a couple of hours at a time! I found a cute free cut file on The MTC (Make The Cut) forum last night, so when I woke up this morning I decided I was going to make one...just for the fun of it :) They are soooo cute. Here's what I did with it:

WHAT???? I hear you say.....no colouring or stamping in sight lol I did think of doing a coloured image for the top but decided to do something different for a change...AND it has a flower on it...wonders will never cease :)

The file is a freebie from "Quicklabs"....found it in the MTC forum under the Masterpieces heading. It cut beautifully. It fits the little travel pack size tissues.  Thank goodness for clever people who share their work because I haven't tried making my own cut files yet and don't know if I'd have the patience to learn!

The DP is all from the Kaiser English Rose Collection 6" pad. I've used an antique SU brad and some glittery hat elastic for the closure. The top is decorated with some rhinestone swirls from my stash and a gorgeous Prima flower.

I think I'm going to send this to my older sister as a little "just because" pressie :)

Thanks for looking......have a wonderful day :)

Pollycraft Baby Love

Woo hoo....I'm finally back playing in a Pollycraft challenge!! I was beginning to think that life was going to get in the way for ever! I don't think I've played along since coming home from our holiday :(

The theme this week is Baby Love....oh good, something cute to play with lol  I've made a hanger instead of a card this time:

PS...Go and check out the DT inspiration HERE....they are ALL fabulous!!!

I've used one of Paula's very cute new star baby designs...Sent From Above. The star has been cut separately from CS and JAC paper so I could glitter it, then the whole image has been popped up on dots. The hanger is another one that my hubby cut for me from craftwood. The little verse is computer generated and printed before adhering the digi DP to the hanger.

I've added the name in PSE before uploading so you get the idea....IRL this area is blank so I can add a name as required by cutting it out with my KNK Maxx and popping it up on dots for dimension :)

On that note....I lashed out and bought PSE 9 this week. I was SOOOOO over taking my photos from one place to another to get them edited, framed, etc. I have a Mac and can't use my old photo editing program on it....it's on my PC, which never goes on the internet, so it's been a pain to get everything done and loaded to my blog.

A BIG thank you goes out to the lovely Heather who gave me a lesson on how to get around PSE....made it so much easier....*waving* to you Heather :)  What an amazing program for such a small price!!

Ching Chou Kuik Fairy

Happy Friday everyone....it's challenge time again at our Copic/Promarker group at The Outlawz. Our theme this week is Fantasy...one of my favourites :)  I'm a sucker for fairies and fantasy things, as much as I am for 'cute' things. When I get time to read I love to escape into a good fantasy book....Harry Potter, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, etc  I wish I had more time to indulge in reading, I used to be SUCH a bookworm! Anyhow, enough waffling...onto my project :)

I've used a gorgeous ching chou kuik image that my lovely friend Helen stamped for me. I have a few Sweet Pea stamps, but not this one. The beautiful fairy has been cut out and adhered onto the DP, which is digi from Key to my Imagination. It's hard to see in the photo but I've sprayed Glimmer Mist all over the DP...looks lovely IRL. The stunning frame has been cut with my trusty KNK Maxx from a free cut file by Monica's Creative Room...it cut beautifully!! I used a Zig glue pen on the frame as the swirly bits are quite fine :)

This is a large 6x6 card....looks huge to me lol  I normally make 5 1/2" square...my fave size, but to fit the image into the frame I had to enlarge it. The base card, which you can barely see! is SU Not Quite Navy. And I cheated on her hair...I've done it with my Prismas...ssssshhhhh...don't tell my Copic group LOL

School is Cool

Another week has flown by and it's time for our Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz. The theme this week is "School"....you can do whatever you like with this...first day, graduation, etc. I was a bit stumped with this one for a while...didn't know what to do, then I had the idea of making a bookmark....and ended up making 2 :)

The first one is for my little grandson, Brody, who turns 7 at the end of this month and the owl one (yes, another owl lol) is just because I wanted to make it....such a CUTE little owl, I couldn't resist him :)

Here they are:

The very cute images are from Pink Cat Studio...I'm having a bit of a run on Melissa's images...they're SO cute :)  I've layered the images onto school themed digi paper from Scraporchard and coloured them with Copics. The tails have been made with #8 pearl embroidery cotton.

One of my fave shops had a 20% off storewide sale recently so I bit the bullet and bought a Crop-a-Dile. Been thinking of one for aaaages but didn't really know what they did!! I LOVE it and used it to punch the eyelet holes and set the eyelets...brilliant :)

Feathered Friends

Time for a new challenge over at our CPC Outlawz group. Our theme this week is Feathers...interpret that any way you want :)  I couldn't find any 'feathery' images I liked and have been a bit pushed for time this week so I've used one of my favourite stamps from Pink Cat Studio. Yes, a REAL stamp for a change lol

I have a LOT of birthdays to remember in September so thought I'd start making some of the cards for them. Here's what I came up with:

When I bought these unmounted rubber stamps I decided to cut the wording away from underneath the image so it would be more versatile...it says 'Birds of a feather hoot together'...cute eh! I can still use it if I want by adding it before stamping, or using my stamp-a-ma-jig and adding it in a different colour afterwards :)  The wording on the card has been computer generated and I actually used FLOWERS!!! I'm not good with embellies and even worse with flowers...put them on, take them off, put them on, take them off....and on it goes lol
