Pot o' Pansies

It's time for our Copic/Promarker challenge over at The Outlawz. This week's theme is Colouring Flowers...hope to see you there :)

Here's my card:

I've used Pot of Pansies from Digi Doodles.  To do the colouring I downloaded a free pansy image from the internet and then proceeded to do my best to copy the colouring. I really wanted to put the image in this gorgeous new CB embossed frame that I recently bought....made the card quick & easy to put together...and it really makes the image pop :) Then I masked the centre oval and sprayed the embossing with shimmer mist. That's it. There's not even any glitter pens on this one lol...my fave accessories!

Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day :)

Supplies:
CS:  X-Press It blending card, Dark Purple CS
Stamp:  Pot of Pansies from Digi Doodles
Colouring:  Copics
Other:  CB embossing folder, Pssst! Frost Shimmer Spritz

Thinking of You

WOO HOO...it's only Thursday and I'm getting my Pollycraft entry in!!!! It's not a last minute rush at the weekend :) The challenge this week is Swirls & Pearls. I've made a card to send to one of my cyber friends who recently lost her mum...such a sad thing to happen to this lovely young woman.

I used one of the beautiful Lillybean fairies from Pollycraft.  I haven't used one of these for a while and was having withdrawals lol...I use them a lot b/c they are so versatile as well as being beautiful :) The gorgeous DP is from the new Magic Happens paper pad from Kaiser. I love the little paper pads...they have a few specialty papers and 4 pages of borders & die cuts. This is one of the specialty papers...the swirls are glazed...very pretty IRL.

Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day :)

DP:  Magic Happens from Kaiser (6.5" paper pad)

Codi Stylin' Bag

Well, it's Sunday and I'm doing my Pollycraft entry again...*sigh*...one of these weeks I'm going to get this done before the weekend and shock myself!!  The challenge this week is Teen Cards. I haven't actually made a card but my project is teen themed, so I hope that's okay.

I'm into bag making at the moment...loved making the little totes from my last post so thought I'd keep the bag thing going while I'm in the mood :)  I love sewing bags and have made quite a few over the years but I'm not back into the sewing as yet so I'm getting my fix with paper lol.

I had a brainwave in the middle of the night, sometime during the week, and decided to have a go at a denim bag...perfect teen pressie...although it's not all holey and ragged, so it might not pass muster :)  In the past I've made bags from old jeans, so thought I'd give that idea a go in paper. I've had the denim DP for years...from my scrapbooking days...so set about creating this after working this morning. It's taken me all afternoon to create...I can see why I couldn't make a living out of papercrafting...reckon I'd be on about $2 hour lol!!!

I even SEWED the pieces with my poor, neglected sewing machine :)  Then I made a tag to hang from the handle using Codi Stylin' from Pollycraft.  The DP was a bit tricky as it was single sided so I had to do everything twice to 'line' it...would be much easier with d/s DP :) I really love how this turned out and will make another one one day, if I can find some more denim patterned paper.

Here's the back :)
Please excuse the difference in colours of the 2 photos...I had a terrible time trying to get this to photo true to colour and I don't know if either is exactly right...the bottom one (no pun intended...does look like a bottom doesn't it lol) is probably the closest.

The bag open from the side:

March 18th Challenge at The Outlawz

It's that time of the week again...our Copic/Promarker challenge over at The Outlawz this week is either an Easter OR Mother's Day theme.  I decided to do one of each...and something a bit different :)

First up is an Easter treat bag:
I've used the gorgeous little Leisel with her wheelbarrow from CC Designs and filled her wheelbarrow with Easter eggs.

My other project is a couple of cute little totes that could be used for Mother's Day:
I've had the template to make these for ages but hadn't got around to trying it out...I LOVE them!! I'll definitely be making more of these. And I'm going to stitch the next ones :) I used stamps from the retired SU hostess set called Time Well Spent...one of my fave SU sets :)

I hope you'll come and play along with us this week. Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day :)

Super Maud :)

Well...I've outdone myself this week...I'm posting my Pollycraft entry with 3 days to spare LOL!!!  Much better than scraping in at the last minute :)  The challenge this week is Fly Me To The Moon.  This had me a bit stumped to begin with...then I thought of Super Maud :)  {I think Maud might be Maurice's significant other half...they make a really spunky pair hehehe...I love 'em!!}

Anyhow...here's my card:
I've fussy cut Maud and popped her up on dots over the moon, in a flying pose. I was rapt when I found this digi paper in my stash...it's perfect with its splash of stars across the page :) Isn't Maud gorgeous! I seriously thought about putting Super Gran or Super Nanny...to the rescue...on the card somewhere but then thought better of it...would limit its use.

Here's a close up of the cute Granny/Nanny, showing the blingy bits :)

Let's face it, what self-respecting Superwoman would be seen without her bling?? :) :) :)
Isn't the sparkle on the moon brilliant! Love that shimmery, sparkly mist stuff.

Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day :)

CS:  X-Press It blending card, CM Navy, SU Whisper White

Colouring Transparent Objects!

Our challenge at The Otlawz Copic/Promarker challenge this week really challenged ME!! Our theme is to colour a transparent object...sheesh...talk about out of my comfort zone LOL  I wanted to find something a little different and remembered I had Predictabella from Stampingbella in my stash and hadn't used her yet, so thought I'd give that a go...her crystal ball is clear so there's the something transparent....and I also thought of a freebie from The Creative Mind of Sylvie that was also sitting is my stash, waiting to get used....2 images, one of a glass jug and the other of 2 glasses.

I found colouring the transparent bits quite daunting as they didn't turn out how I'd envisaged them :(  In the end I couldn't decide which card to submit for the challenge so I'm posting both!!  I'm not overly happy with either...I think I need LOTS of practice with this...you need to click on the photo to enlarge to see the colouring on the crystal ball! Here are my cards:

And a close up to show the bling :)

When Life gives you lemons...make lemonade:

You need to use your imagination here...the sparkly buttons are supposed to be lemon slices and the rhinestones, the pips :)  The sentiment was computer generated.

Hope you'll come and play along with us this week.  Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day :)

Supplies:
CS:  X-Press It blending card, SU Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant & Kiwi Kiss
DP:  Digi papers from Misses BeeHaven Digital Scrapbooking
Stamps:  Predictabella from Stampingbella, Freebie from Creative Mind of Sylvie
Colouring:  Copics, glitter pens
Other:  Ribbon & buttons from stash, Computer generated sentiment (Lemonade card) SU So Safron stamp pad, Kaiser rhinestones, foam dots, Purple Sprinkles

Art Deco Sepia Bride

I'm home again and back into the everyday routine...so nice to have holidays occasionally to get out of the rut!!  It's Friday and that means a new challenge for our Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge group.  This week we want to see you colour an image in either Black & White OR Sepia...you can use any DP but the image must be the set colours :)  I chose to do sepia as I don't find blacks the easiest to colour with...and I chose to keep the theme sepia instead of using coloured DP.

Here's my card:

I've used the beautiful Art Deco Bride from Michelle Perkett.  She's been printed onto Neenah Classic Crest cream CS and coloured using a variety of Copic markers from the E family.  The embossing on the backing panel has been done on SU Shimmery White CS, which looks gorgeous IRL.

Here's a close up of the gorgeous bride:

Thanks for looking...hope you'll come and play with us this week. Have a wonderful day :)

Supplies:
CS:  Neenah Classic Crest cream, SU Shimmery White, Very Vanilla & Soft Suede
Stamps:  Art Deco Bride from Michelle Perkett,   Perfect Punches (congratulations)
Colouring:  Copics
Other:  SU Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (thanks Helen....waving...), foam dots, SU Soft Suede stamp pad
