The Alchemist Mirror
This is my entry in the Michelle Perkette challenge #13. The theme for this challenge is "Be Inspired". I decided to make a mirror for this challenge and use the Alchemist, which I won from one of Michelle's earlier challenges. I've had lots of ideas on how to use him but haven't had the time until now :)
I knew when I decided to go with this idea that it was going to be a cow of a thing to photograph!!!! I wasn't wrong! Do you like the reflection of the blinds in the top photo :( I needed this one to show the glitter detail as it didn't show up as well in the other photo. After a lot of frustration, I ended up laying the mirror on the coffee table so that it would reflect the plain ceiling!!
I really enjoyed making this. It's a Kaiser wood product and they are great to work with. I don't know what brand the DP is but it was perfect for this project, with its wand and swirls!
I printed the Alchemist on Splendorgel 190 and coloured with Copics. He has been highlighted with glitter pens and a feather for his cap. The handle of the wand is coated with Kindy Glitz and I've used gold and silver glitter pens on the star. The wand's swirls are glittered. The alchemist's swirls are rhinestone and the words are Kaiser rub-ons.
And yes...it's purple...again!! I AM trying to get into other colours more...really! Just that purple was the perfect colour for him :)
